European Union Film Festival (EUFF), with a line-up of award-winning films, will run in Delhi from December 1 to December 10.
The 28th edition of European Union Film Festival (EUFF) is all set to kick off in New Delhi from December 1. The festival, spanning ten days, will feature 28 films in 25 languages. The festival celebrates the cultural connection between India and European Union through the world of cinema.
EUFF, with a line-up of award-winning films, will run in Delhi from December 1 to December 10. The screenings will take place across three locations– the Indian Habitat Center, The Instituto Cervantes (Spanish Cultural Center), and The Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan. After completing the New Delhi leg, the festival will travel to Chennai, where it will be held from January 19-28, 2024.

The ‘free for all’ festival is organised by the delegation of the European Union to India, embassies of EU member states, and regional partners. Out of the 28 films scheduled to screen at the festival, 18 movies are helmed by women directors.
A celebration of Europe’s rich cinema, EUFF includes a robust line-up of films across genres such as drama, comedy, romance, sci-fi, documentary and more. Some of the movies that have won international accolades include Tori and Lokita, winner of the Special 75th Anniversary Award at Cannes, Saint Omer, winner of Grand Jury Prize at Venice Film Festival, The Banshees of Inisherin, which won the Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at Golden Globe Awards 2023, and Slovenia’s entry for Oscars 2024, Riders. Other than these, the Ukrainian film Luxembourg will also be screened at EUFF. The film premiered at the Horizons section of the 79th edition of the Venice Film Festival.
