With the European Union getting ready to unveil the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) in the middle of 2025, Astons is at the front position, guaranteeing that its customers are all set for the new variations in the travel background.
ETIAS, which is a new electronic travel authorization system, will impact travelers from more than 60 visa-exempted countries, comprising the US, the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, requiring earlier sanction prior to arriving at the EU.
Alena Lesina, a citizenship, residency and real estate outlay professional and the Head of Astons US Astons’ US office said that with ETIAS, the EU is presenting an important change in how non-EU tourists have the right of entry to the Schengen Zone, shifting from problem-free admission to a more planned procedure. This change echoes the US-ESTA arrangement and targets increasing safety procedures across EU borders.
ETIAS is intended to screen travelers beforehand and evaluate possible security jeopardies before they arrive at any of the 30 European nations involved, comprising all Schengen Zone affiliates and Cyprus. The ETIAS program will be combined with the EU’s innovative Exit/Entry System [EES]. The EES unveils in October this year – at the UK/EU boundary in France – and necessitates all non-EU citizens and inhabitants to submit fingerprints and face scans across all EU borders. Those possessing EU Golden Visas will be excused from ETIAS and EES necessities.
