Kolhapur: KIT College of Engineering has organised a ‘Startup Battle: Expansion and Success’ competiton for product development and capacity building of startups. Several Kolhapur-based startups can participate in the competition.The chief executiv officer (CEO) of KIT’s innovation and research foundation, Sudhir Arali said, “This startup battle will be open for innovators and startups. The last day to participate in this competition is June 21. A two-day special session to gear up for this competition was recently conducted in the college on ‘product development and expansion of startups’. The innovators and researchers were guided with the inputs regarding the planning and implementation needed to take their startups to the next level.” Nilesh Lele, president of Chamber of Advancement of Small and Medium Business and Dr N Aparna Rao, associate professor of NMIMS University Mumbai, guided the innovators through this workshop.The prize money is a total 1.5 lakh rupees.
