EU Countries Want Flexibility in Unifying Transfer Pricing Laws

EU countries back a draft plan to harmonize their laws on intercompany transactions with those of the OECD, but disagree with the way it should be implemented.

Several countries are pushing for an EU “transfer pricing platform” instead of a law to coordinate application of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s transfer pricing guidelines.

Hungary, which took over the Council of the EU presidency from Belgium at the beginning of July, would “explore this possibility,” according to Hungarian spokesperson Anna Atanaszov.
