The first Global Gateway Forum took place in Brussels on 25 and 26 October. It brought together over 40 high-level government representatives from the EU and all over the world, financial institutions and business representatives to discuss the world’s investment needs, debate solutions, and launch new partnerships.
The discussions focused on green energy and hydrogen, research and education, critical raw materials and transport corridors. A range of agreements and investment commitments in these areas were signed on this occasion with partners from across the globe.
On the eve of the Forum, the Global Gateway Civil Society and Local Authorities Dialogue Platform met for the first time. This Platform will give civil society and local authorities a space to engage on Global Gateway and the roll-out of projects in different areas.
