Panel orders path lab to shut ops – Times of India

Kolkata: The West Bengal Clinical Establishment Regulatory Commission has asked a diagnostic centre in Baruipur to shut shop as it found irregularities. CMOH South 24 Parganas has been asked to initiate probe into the centre’s functioning.During a hearing of a case filed against Accu Health Diagnostic, the commission found that the unit had transcribed a report of an advanced thyroid test in its letter head which had the digital signature of a doctor who had no link with the unit.In another case, the commission has requested West Bengal Medical Council to probe if there was medical negligence in the death of a 14-year-old at Care Concern Hospital Serampore. The teenager was taken to the hospital with severe chest pain. tnn
